PRESSURE CUTTING

In a district heating or decentralized heating system with circulating water (using for example district heating, oil or wood chips) energy can be saved through reducing additional pressure. In practice, the return water line is equipped (in a district heating network to the user’s devices [primary side], in a property’s own heating network to the return pipeline of the boiler) with a linear pressure cutting valve which is adjusted through calculation data. The savings come from reducing overflows through the heat exchanger (between boilers and radiators in a property’s own heating network), better cooling in the return line and diminishing fluctuation. When carried out properly, pressure cutting helps to save about 5 to 30 % of heating energy.

 

OPTIMI DISTRICT HEATING SUBSTATION

Softatalo AIDA Oy specializes in Optimi district heating substations which it has patented. As opposed to substations with traditional technology Optimi district heating substation is the first which is able to maintain the flow and temperature in balans on both sides of the heat exchanger. Optimi substation makes it possible to provide heat evenly and is so better in its operating efficiency than alternative solutions. It is also possible to connect the Optimi district heating substation to a property control station or alternatively to transfer the alarms. Optimi substation saves up to 10 to 30 % in the consumption of district heating yearly compared to traditional technology.
 

AIDABLOW AIR CURTAIN BLOWER

AIDABLOW air curtain creates a dence air barrier in the open doorway. The flow is completely laminar because of the special nozzles positioned next to each other. The air curtain unit is equipped with silencers on both sides of the blowers which enable a noiseless operation. Softatalo AIDA Oy offers AIDABLOW air curtain blowers as a turnkey package. The package includes the devices and installations as well as automation that switches the blower off once the doors are closed. The investment results in significant energy savings and its payback time is from 2 to 6 years depending on how often the property’s doors are opened.

 

HEAT RECOVERY

Softatalo AIDA Oy performs also heat recovery projects especially in industrial premises. We aim to exploit wasted heat from air conditioning, cooling, steam or flue gases case-by-case depending on the client. The heat that is recovered will be used in the industrial process or in heating the premises or tap water.
